The Bon-Ton is giving local shoppers the opportunity to support the Boys & Girls Club this Holiday Season by decorating its Christmas Tree with a wish list of gifts created by Boys & Girls Club members. Visit the Bon-Ton in the Valley Mall, pull an ornament off the tree, then purchase the item and return the gift along with the ornament to the tree. The gifts will be distributed to Boys & Girls Club members at the annual holiday parties planned for December 19th.
Boys & Girls Club Bike-and Hike-athon was a success. Despite some chilly weather conditions in Hancock, several Boys & Girls Club members, parents, volunteers, and supporters showed up to walk or bike on the beautiful Western Maryland Rail Trail. The event was as much a program activity for the Club as it was a fundraiser even though over $2,200 was raised. Walkers went east while bikers west west on the paved trail. Thanks to the Valley Mall, STAPLES, C & O Bicycle, Martins, High Hill Farms, the Town of Hancock, the Western Maryland Rail Trail, and Washington County Health Systems for partnering on the special activity. T'hirts were provided and designed by BJ's Embroidery and Custom Creations.

United Way Day of Caring brought about an EXCHANGE of ideas and sweat equity for the Boys & Girls Club. Members of the Antietam Exchange Club spent the morning cleaning out a storage area that will be turned into an office area while First Data Merchant Services associates "detailed" three of the Boys & Girls Club vans! Thanks to all who helped out in our community.
